In 2020, CAM Collective [Carisa Antariksa, Amreen Ashraf, and Maria Denise Yala] participated in an online workshop series hosted by StudioTime. We created two workshop series as an introduction to P5.js, a JavaScript library designed for creative coding.
My role in addition to preparing educational slides on how to use P5.js was to create an activity for the participants to apply the knowledge shared by CAM. The exercise I came up with was "From Paper to Screen", a challenge to create an abstract digital painting using geometric shapes and the principles of P5.js
I created a p5.JS recreation of a geometric abstract painting based on Joseph Amarotico's Tondo Blue, Architectural Surrealism, Geometric Form, Oil on Board, 1980 as an example for the "From Paper to Screen" activity for workshop participants.
