Serviçais Registers is a compilation of detailed records of over 18,000 indentured servants called serviçais who worked in Angola or were shipped from Angola.

In my role as Senior Web Designer, I:

• Met with the project director to collect project requirements
• Designed the project website
• Developed a responsive website using Bootstrap, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, and PHP
• Imported and organized project data into MySQL tables from an Excel sheet of over 18,000 records
• Maintained a MYSQL database used to manage the content on the website
• Developed a searchable table with clickable rows and overlay windows, with advanced search features allowing users to query the database

Using Ajax JavaScript and PHP the search feature queries the MySQL database using the databases table columns as indexes. The database records are presented in a table of clickable rows.

When clicked the data record's metadata is displayed in an overlay windows.
